With St. Paddy's Day right around the corner, we figured we'd throw together our quick picks for our favorite *Irished-themed bars* in Orange County if you're looking to get your fill of Guinness, corned beef and cabbage, and other Irish staples. *We're admittedly not the greatest authority of what is authentic Irish or not* Anyway, check out our options for the the best Irish bars in Orange County to take advantage of a festive March 17th.

The Irishman in Huntington Beach

If you're looking for authentic Irish, look no further. The owner of the Irishman is an Irish man himself, Ray, who was born in Cork City, Ireland. A worker in Irish pubs for years, Ray successfully opened up his own bar and prides himself on serving the best Guinness, Irish Coffees, and traditional Irish food. If you want authenticity on St. Paddy's Day, look no further.

Muldoon's Irish Pub in Newport Beach

The accolades for Muldoon's include: Best Irish Pub (5 time winner) from MyFoxLA.com OC Hot List, People's Choice Award for Best Neighborhood Bar and Restaurant from the OC Register, and #1 Voted Pub in all of Southern California by KCAL Channel 9. Ya, so we're pretty confident in saying you can't go wrong spending your St. Paddy's night here. They definitely won't mess up the pour on your Guinness here.

Branagan's Irish Pub in Fullerton

Branagan's is most likely your go-to spot if you're in your early 20s. This Irish pub is in the heart of Downtown Fullerton and college area near CSUF. They even have 30 Irish and craft beers on tap which is pretty remarkable. You can even pour your own pint at their very own draft table. As if that wasn't impressive enough, you can take advantage of their line of rare Irish whiskeys straight from Ireland.

Patrick's Pub in Costa Mesa

If you're planning on coming here on St. Patrick's Day, get there early! This is definitely one of the hottest spots in OC on March 17th. Besides the lively environment, you can find two dart boards, three pool tables, shuffleboard, foosball, Golden Tee Golf, and one sweet, old school jukebox. Defintely the party environment you'd come to expect on St. Patrick's Day.

Hennessey's Tavern in Laguna Beach

You can find a few different Hennessey's locations throughout Orange County; Dana Point, Seal Beach, including a brand new location in San Juan Capistrano. There's a reason why this Irish bar is so popular. Hennessey's in Laguna is right on Ocean Ave where all the action is. This location even has an upstairs bar and mellow patio area to hang out at.

Dublin 4 Gastropub in Mission Viejo

This family business focuses on great food and a great place to get a drink. For St. Patrick's Day, Dublin 4 Gastropub is going all out by featuring four Irish beers on draft; Guinness, Harp, Smithwick's, and Kilkenney. Kelly's Korner Tavern in Placentia

Kelly's is a charming little Irish bar nestled in Placentia on Yorba Linda Boulevard. This place gets surprisingly lively during the week, probably thanks to the great specials they offer daily. We're willing to be St. Paddy's at Kelly's will be quite the celebration as well!

Molly Bloom's Irish Bar and Restaurant in San Clemente

Molly Bloom's is half bar, half restaurant is an Irish bar that the San Clemente locals frequent time and again for the great food, drinks, service, and entertainment options. Outside of St. Paddy's Day, Molly Bloom's usually has great great entertainment week in and week out with DJ's and even comedy night on Wednesdays!

Malarky's Irish Pub in Newport Beach

Perhaps Malarky's is best known for it's out of this world breakfast (served 730am-2pm), but you can bet things will be festive on St. Paddy's Day. This bar is especially popular with the Newport Beach locals.

Patsy's Irish Pub in Laguna Niguel

According to Orange County Hot List, Patsy's in Laguna Niguel is ranked number 1 for "Best Irish Pub" for the lively environment, strong drinks, the 23 HD TVs throughout, and games like pool and darts. They're kicking off St. Paddy's Day early by beginning the festivities with a pre-party on Wednesday, the 16th!
